Diamond Star Driving School Student Guidelines & Course Policies
- All services must go through the school. Any private engagements outside the school’s policies is the sole responsibility of the student. All courses are valid for 12 months (from the time of registration). Any courses that are not used within 12 months will automatically expire and cannot be reimbursed. BDE students must complete a 30-hour online course (20-hour lesson and 10-hour homelink) and 10-hour in-vehicle lesson within 12 months from the time of registration. (Ministry of Transportation specified).
- Failure to complete the course within 12 months will reset the course progress and the student will have to purchase another BDE course and start over. After completing the Online Certificate Course, which is 30 hours of online sessions and 10 hours of in-car lessons, students will be certified by the Ministry of Transportation. No paper certificate is issued by the driving school. Students have to go to SERVICE ONTARIO and obtain a DRIVER HISTORY REPORT as proof of completion of the driver education program.
- Submit the driver history report to the insurance company to see if you qualify for insurance discounts. Students may refund the purchase within 5 days; however, an administrative fee ($75+tax) will be deducted from the refundable balance. If 5 days have passed, a refund will not be available. If students require more lessons, students must purchase additional individual lessons in advance.
- Our prices are subject to change without further notice. Diamond Star Driving School reserves the right to use and send information of the students to the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario and Insurance Bureau of Canada. (Ministry of Transportation specified) If the student does not show up on the day of the in-vehicle lesson or cancels the lesson on the day of the lesson, Diamond Star Driving School will deduct full of the lesson hours from student’s credit. Diamond Star Driving School only provides service supervision for the students who have registered through the driving school to protect the rights of the students. Students will be certified by the school after finishing both online and driving lessons. Before the school notifies the
student that “you are certified”, it is not completed. Usually, it will take 1-2 weeks. If a student has not received the completion notification, please contact us 647-643-9763. - School Cancellation Policies: A minimum of 24hrs of notice is Required to cancel or reschedule any lessons. If a student cancels a scheduled lesson with less than 24 hours notice or fails to show up, they must pay the full lesson fee before rescheduling.
- Diamond Star Driving School promises that every instructor we assign to you is a registered driving instructor who is certified by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario. They not only have rich driving experience, but also have professional training skills. However, due to differences in student’s mastery and uncontrollable factors on the day of the road test, we cannot guarantee a student’s test results. We do not tolerate any kind of threats, including rude language, physical attacks, etc. Please respect our instructors and customer service staff members. Once the above behaviour occurs, we have the right to refuse and suspend the service, while retaining the evidence and the right to use legal means.
